Women Only Center
My name is Amanda George, the new Director of Women’s Only Weight Loss and Fitness Center here at Nautilus Fitness. I am an Erie County native, born and raised. I am a 2008 graduate of Edinboro University where I earned my degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Health Promotion. I am passionate about women’s health, nutrition, fitness, and LIFE. I am an optimistic person with a great deal of compassion for people.
I am also an active advocate for safe foods, food equality and buy fresh, buy local. The food we eat is highly overlooked and everyone needs to understand how to choose the right things for themselves or their families. I want you to be informed not only how to stay healthy through exercise, but through nutrition as well.
“Believing in something is important. Everyone needs to have a passion in life.” As once written in a song “You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.”
“Life is too short to not take the steps to be healthy. If you don’t have your health, you have nothing. Learning to live a healthy lifestyle is a big change for many people. But once you learn, it is like riding a bike. You might fall off a few times, but you will always know how to get back on.”
Putting effort into living a healthy lifestyle now and preventing disease will give you a better quality of life. We live in a society where “more is better,” but we have seen the effects of that for the last 30 years. With 33% of the adult population being overweight, and the rate of Type 2 Diabetes rising every day, we need to come together and support each other to make the lifestyle changes necessary.
I am here to help you achieve the healthy lifestyle you want and deserve. Trust that small steps really do make a difference. You only get one body in life, so take care of it.
